with additional trips to Jamaica and other parts of the world.
The start of the Midwest Underwater Photographic Society and the first ever underwater photographic shop
MARINE PHOTOGRAPHIC SYSTEMS, INC.
This was not a scuba shop with one counter for
underwater photography. This was a full shop devoted to
underwater photography with an inventory of the finest equipment and accessories
to be found anywhere.
A complete machine shop for modifications of equipment and the manufacturer of
our own line of
underwater photographic products along with a full classroom for instruction.
We offered everything - Sales, Service,
Rentals, Repairs, Custom Modifications and all levels of instruction
from basic stills to motion picture photography.
The first underwater photographic catalog
"FATHOM MASTER" was designed, written and published
along with the MPS Bulletin which was a six page newsletter, available to our
customers.
My final contribution to underwater photography
was to produce and direct a film for Pan American Airlines
on diving and underwater photography in Hawaii, Australia and Fiji.
And you might be asking "Where did you get
all the money for these programs?"
Actually, on one of our trips to Andros Bahamas I had a father and son join our
program. The father
was so impressed with what we were doing that he came to me and asked "Why
don't you do this full-time?"
My answer was that I needed $30,000.00.
He pulled out his card and told me to come to
his office when I got back and he would give me a check and
that was what started the very first underwater photographic shop in the world,
that was back in the late 60's.

SPECIAL NOTE: I have never been challenged for money. All I did was put
my imagination to work
to produce products and services that had value to myself and other people and
the money came to me like a magnet.
You can do the same thing. Just put your heart and soul into everything you do
and
learn something new daily, everyday. Great ideas are a money magnet! CDW.
