Story Number NINETEEN  

Eight Years of Full Time Research

October 24th, 1991, my 50th birthday. I was celebrating with "Angie" my friend from the X-Rated Diet Program
and I learned about an associate who had died on that very day. He was 62yrs of age. I was sad and when I continued
to think about it I got concerned, because that was only 12 years away.

How was I going to possibly complete all the projects that I have in the next 12 years. Not possible!
So, on that very day I decided to live to 150 and beyond. 

We were riding in one of my limousines and as usual, I had a legal size pad of paper which got me writing.
The first thing I had to do was sell the eight companies I owned in Santa Barbara California.

I then needed to decide where I was going to live and do my full-time research.

I decided on Los Angeles California.

I had to figure out how I was going to live to 150 and beyond. Was it even possible?
About 30 days later I had moved to Los Angeles and started on the research that was going to give
me the answers to my questions.

Sitting here today, December 22, 2002 I can tell you that it is not only possible, it is easier than you may think.

Paying attention to many things like water, the type of water to drink and how much per day?
Proper exercise. How much is enough? Can you wear yourself out? Do you need to do both aerobics and
weight exercises? How much rest does your body require? Can you eat sweets, pizza, etc.?

Tons of questions that needed research, complete research that dispelled any doubt since this was
going to be applied to me and my life, and then, to others that were interested in living longer.

There are many myths out there and I wanted to know the real facts.

Because I was doing this for me, I used myself for all the tests and experiments that required
participation. I didn't want to rely on others to do the testing. I had to participate and find the
real answers, those applications that really worked!

Much of my previous research, my work with the x-rated diet program gave me many
facts that assisted me in the weight adjustment department.

I had spent 10 years in "no cash" real estate, 10 years in business "transportation" so much
of what I wanted to know was already in my files.

One of the things I needed to decide was what is the first step to creating a better life?

Oddly enough, it seems so simple, the number one step that must be completed before you can
make progress in any other area is EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION, that is,
communication with ourselves and others.

We actually needed to learn how to talk to ourselves in a positive, progressive manner. We needed
to be able to convince ourselves that there was a way to achieve long-term, unlimited success.

Because of this discover, I came up with the 16 most dangerous words, words that needed to be
eliminated from our vocabulary and the 36 most powerful words, words that needed to
be added to our vocabulary. 

While eliminating the 16 most dangerous and adding the 36 most powerful I discovered that an easy
way to make the transition was to combine the 36 most powerful into "affirmations" that assist
us in repeating these words daily, everyday.

Constant repetition was needed to move the positive, progress words from our temporary storage center
( our conscious mind, in the front of the brain ) to our permanent storage center ( our subconscious mind, located
in the back of our brain ). This process has actually been measured, based on the blood flow in the brain
and it takes approximately 5 to 6 hours for this transition to take place. Repetition is a must!

I studied the 1440 factor, the two different types of people, the one thing in life that is of any real value,
daily education, what about those so-called experts, what is failure, what about your appearance,
water, food, nutrients, additional nutrients, enjoying exercise, advanced hygiene, prescription drugs & pills,
personal progress, values, priorities, soaking time, attitude, productive behavior, perception / reality,
and much, much more.

NO MORE DIETS IN THE 21ST CENTURY 

The perception is - we need to lose weight and we are going to lose that weight by following the
infomercials, reading the latest diet book or reacting to the latest fad.

The reality is - we need to focus our attention in a different direction. We need to incorporate
proper eating to rid our bodies of disease so that we can live a longer, healthier, 
happier and more prosperous lifestyle, to any age we choose...
By implementing proper eating our bodies will automatically adjust to normal body weight.

On and on I can go, yet this page is not long enough to list all the discoveries I made during that eight
years of full-time research. The one thing I can tell you is that you need to start with the five basics of
personal development - THOUGHTS, WORDS, ACTIONS, HABITS and CHARACTER and
combine this with the 15 steps to EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION.

There simply is no other place to start, when you want to achieve long-term, unlimited success!
