OUTSTANDING
ACCOMPLISHMENTS

During my eighteen ( 18 ) years as a general insurance broker
I had the privilege to spend a small part of my career
with the Equitable Life Assurance Society as a life, accident and health agent
for the Woody Agency,
the number one agency in all of Equitable.
During this time I developed a strategy of selling called
"Dividend Transfer Option" which enabled
current clients to increase their current life insurance with little or no out
of pocket expense.
The way this was done was to check the policies that had been
written by other agents that were no
longer with the company and check the status of the dividends in these policies.
The next step was to chart out the cost of new insurance on
the currently insured to determine
how much of an increase in coverage could be realized without any out of pocket
expenses.
This was done with accumulated dividends only and the cash
value of the policy was not to be touched.
Any loan of cash value in the policy lowers the face value of the policy unless
the loan was paid off
before the benefits had to be taken out.
This worked extremely well for me and allow me to qualify for
numerous vacation trips to different parts of
the world based on rewards for high production performance.
My most memorable trip was to Nassau Bahamas.
Being a scuba diver and underwater photographer I was
extremely excited to visit Nassau and during my
weeks stay I met a doctor who enjoyed the same, yet he didn't have any
experience in underwater photography.
I got to know him over the week, showing him how to use his
camera equipment and found out that
he was in need of $1,000,000 dollars worth of whole life insurance for a
property he had just purchased.
Wow! Here I was in Nassau Bahamas ( which was paid for by the
company ) and I wind up taking
an application for whole life insurance for ONE MILLION DOLLARS. It just so
happened that I had
the two applications necessary in my briefcase and was able to write the
coverage on the island.
Equitable was so excited that they published my picture,
holding the two applications on the sands of
Nassau, each for $500,000.00 each or a total of one million dollars.
This was the first time any agent ever won a trip and wrote coverage during that trip!
